As we gear up for ConX 2025, we had the opportunity to sit down with Pedro Camara, CEO and founder of Travelgate, to talk about what’s in store for this year’s edition.
With the theme “Connected” taking center stage, Pedro shares his perspective on why connection—between people, systems, and ideas—is more vital than ever in the travel industry. From overcoming fragmentation to building meaningful partnerships, this conversation sets the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable event.
Read on to discover what attendees can expect, the key topics shaping the agenda, and why ConX 2025 is more than just a conference—it’s a movement.
Q1: This year’s ConX theme is "Connected." What can attendees expect from the 2025 edition, both in terms of content and networking?
A:
ConX 2025 is all about creating meaningful connections, across businesses, technologies, and ideas. Attendees can expect a dynamic mix of inspiring keynotes, insightful panels, and hands-on sessions with leaders shaping the future of travel.
But more than that, we’re focusing heavily on curated networking opportunities. Whether it’s through structured matchmaking, casual coffee meetups, or at AfterX, we want people to leave with real connections that lead to future collaborations.
Q2: Why did you choose “Connected” as the central theme this year, and what does it mean for Travelgate?
A:
“Connected” is more than a theme—it’s our core belief. At Travelgate, our mission has always been to connect the travel industry, technically and commercially.
This theme reflects our commitment to helping companies integrate, grow, and evolve together. In a fragmented landscape, connection is power. It means more resilience, faster innovation, and shared success.
Q3: In your view, what are the biggest barriers to connection in the travel industry today, and how are they being addressed?
A:
One major barrier is technical fragmentation—so many providers still operate in silos or use legacy systems that don’t "speak the same language."
Another is misaligned expectations between buyers and sellers. That’s why transparency and better data sharing are critical.
We’re working to solve this by offering real-time insights and encouraging open dialogue at events like ConX. Our ecosystem thrives when players collaborate, not compete in isolation.
Q4: What’s new or different about this year’s ConX compared to previous editions?
A:
This year, we’re going even deeper with topic-specific roundtables, live product showcases, and interactive formats that encourage two-way conversation.
We’re also making it easier for smaller companies and startups to get visibility and connect with larger players. Inclusivity in networking is a big priority this year.
Q5: ConX 2025 is the first edition since Travelgate became part of the Travelsoft Group. How has this influenced the event and its direction this year?
A:
We’ve been truly supported by all the companies within the Travelsoft Group, and we’re excited that many of them will be attending both ConX and AfterX this year.
Being part of the Travelsoft Group has given us a broader network and opened up new opportunities for our partners—especially when it comes to expanding into new markets. It’s allowed us to bring in even more perspectives and create a more diverse and valuable event experience for everyone involved.
At Travelsoft, we're even more Connected.
Q6: Who should attend ConX 2025? What kind of professionals or companies will benefit the most?
A:
If you’re in the travel ecosystem—B2B tech, distribution, hospitality, OTA, or even a non-travel brand entering the space—ConX is for you.
It’s especially valuable for decision-makers, product leaders, and commercial teams looking to stay ahead of the curve and build high-value partnerships.
Q7: How does ConX support long-term industry transformation—not just short-term networking?
A:
Great question. ConX is more than an event—it’s a platform for change. The conversations started here often turn into collaborations, product evolutions, and even strategic alliances.
We intentionally bring together diverse voices—startups, corporates, disruptors, and traditional players—so that the ideas exchanged lead to something actionable and impactful.
Q7: Finally, what’s one thing you personally are most excited about for ConX 2025?
A:
Honestly? Seeing new partnerships spark in real time. There’s nothing better than watching two people who just met start planning a joint project over coffee. That’s the magic of ConX.
Q8: Any final thoughts or message for those getting ready to attend ConX 2025?
A:
Yes—come with an open mind, lots of curiosity, and a willingness to connect. Whether you're a long-time partner or attending for the first time, ConX is your space to learn, share, and grow alongside some of the most passionate people in the travel tech world.
We're building something special here, and we can’t wait to see what new ideas and collaborations are sparked this year. See you in Mallorca!
