Press Release.- Mallorca will once again be at the centre of the global B2B hotel distribution scene thanks to Con-X 2023. On 10 May, more than 350 executives representing the most influential companies in the hotel distribution industry will attend a conference to discuss new technological trends in the market and the use of artificial intelligence; its personalization and depersonalization.

"Uncut: Now it's personal" is the name of the conference, which opens the door to inspiring personal experiences that have succeeded against all odds in other areas.  "This time, speakers will delve into personalization, how the chatbot revolution is already affecting travel and how it will develop in the future," says Pedro Camara, CEO of TravelgateX.

Speakers at CON-X 2023 will share how they have gone on to build strong businesses and achieved many of the things company executives aspire to. "We are in the hospitality industry and our business is to make people happy, to enable them to create memories that last forever. This conference is the perfect opportunity for all of us to connect as people, to really get to know each other in an informal but professional environment and, like our customers, build bonds that will last forever," explained Pedro Camara, responsible for the organization of CON-X 2023.

The last two editions of CON-X featured more than 20 speakers from around the world, more than 40 sponsors and more than 700 participants from all countries, generating more than 2,000 business meetings in a single day.

ChatGPT, AI and the future of travel

Gerd_LeonhardIt's iPhone time for AI. ChatGPT and large language models and generative AI tools have the potential to change all components of the travel experience, from discovery, search and marketing to the purchase of a trip or package and one's actual experiences when travelling.

Gerd Leonhard, CEO The Futures Agency, will be one of the speakers describing what's behind the hype around AI and ChatGPT, what's real and what's not (yet), what to expect in the next 5 years and how to use these amazing tools wisely and carefully.

In addition to Gerd's presentation, CON-X 2023 will feature a round table in which experts such as Daniel Hansens (Slack), Shiyi Pickrell (Expedia), Iñaki Fuentes (Quonversa), Aroa Fernández, Data & AI Specialist (Microsoft)  will discuss the use of artificial intelligence in tourism companies as well as the use or not of tools for the personalization or not of the sector.

On the other hand, the conference will also feature a round table with the participation of European investors, Jan-Franke Valentin, Morgan Lesné, Henry Wells, specialists from different international funds, to discuss mergers and acquisitions in the tourism sector.

They will also discuss the types of businesses that will be successful in the sector and the keys to scalability. Lionel_Scaloni
