Meet CoreX: Connecting Local Hotel Supply to Global Distribution

Written by Travelgate | 10/8/26, 10:54 AM

CoreX helps local suppliers, DMCs and hoteliers digitalize their hotel inventory and distribute it to Buyers through the Travelgate Network, without needing to develop their own connectivity infrastructure.

Strong local hotel supply deserves access to global demand.

Yet for many local suppliers, DMCs and hoteliers, the challenge is not acquiring hotel inventory. It is distributing that inventory digitally and at scale.

Connecting with international Buyers requires technology capable of managing connectivity, large search volumes, business rules and the operational demands of hotel distribution.

CoreX is designed to bridge that gap.

Local expertise meets distribution technology

Local suppliers, DMCs and hoteliers bring valuable expertise to hotel distribution.

Strong hotel relationships. Destination knowledge. Contracting expertise. Access to local inventory that international Buyers want.

CoreX does not replace any of that. It provides the technology needed to bring that product into digital distribution.

Speaking with Reportrip at FIT Buenos Aires 2026, Fran Montoya, Director of Expansion at Travelgate, described the role of CoreX:

“CoreX solves the entire technology and distribution side that comes after product acquisition.”*

The model is straightforward.

Local suppliers bring their knowledge of the market, hotel inventory and commercial relationships. CoreX provides the technology, connectivity and distribution services needed to take that product to Buyers.

Local expertise stays with the supplier. CoreX provides the technology to distribute it.

No API? That shouldn't stop distribution.

Not every local supplier, DMC or hotelier has the same technology setup. CoreX is designed around that reality.

Hotel inventory can be loaded through a traditional back office or dynamically by connecting directly with the channel manager providing access to the hotel product.

From there, CoreX becomes the technology layer where distribution rules and strategy can be managed according to clients, markets and other business variables.

This opens digital distribution opportunities to businesses with valuable hotel supply and commercial expertise, but without their own connectivity infrastructure.

It is a challenge Luisa Cámara, CCO at Travelgate, also highlighted in an interview with REPORTUR: significant local hotel supply, particularly in Latin America, does not always have the technology infrastructure required to connect easily with large international Buyers.

From hotel contracting to global distribution

Digitalizing inventory is only useful if there is demand on the other side.

Travelgate already connects Sellers with a global ecosystem of Buyers, including OTAs, bedbanks, tour operators and other travel companies.

CoreX provides local suppliers, DMCs and hoteliers with another route into that Network.

As Fran explained to Reportrip:

“It is a solution designed so DMCs can scale their hotel distribution and access a global market.”*

CoreX supports two distribution models.

Suppliers can distribute individually to their own clients. When a supplier does not have sufficient commercial reach of its own, an aggregation model can be used to take the product to Buyers on its behalf.

Different commercial realities, but the same underlying idea: valuable hotel product should not be held back by the technology required to distribute it.

Why CoreX now?

Hotel distribution asks a lot from technology.

Large Buyers generate significant search volumes and data consumption. Serving that demand reliably requires infrastructure that not every local supplier has — or needs to develop independently.

Until now, Travelgate has primarily operated as a connectivity layer for companies that already had their own technology or used external technology providers.

CoreX extends that model.

As Fran explained at FIT, Travelgate identified a gap between suppliers with valuable hotel product and the technological requirements involved in distributing to large-scale Buyers.

CoreX combines Travelgate technology with a platform and distribution model designed around that need.

The principle behind it is one Luisa summed up in her REPORTUR interview:

“Technology shouldn’t be the bottleneck for growth; it should enable every Partner to focus on selling better, operating better and making better decisions.”*

A clear opportunity in Latin America

CoreX has particular relevance in Latin America.

The region has extensive local hotel supply and strong destination expertise, but technology adoption remains uneven. Many hotels still operate through more traditional models, while channel managers and newer distribution technologies continue to gain ground.

For local suppliers, DMCs and hoteliers, that creates an opportunity to move faster in both managing and distributing hotel inventory.

For international Buyers, it can mean access to local supply that was previously more difficult to reach through large-scale digital distribution.

CoreX connects these two realities: local Sellers with valuable hotel product and international Buyers looking for supply.

And while Latin America makes the opportunity particularly visible, the model is not limited to one region. The same distribution challenge exists wherever strong local hotel supply lacks a scalable technological route to demand.

Local knowledge stays local. Distribution doesn't have to.

CoreX brings together technology, connectivity and distribution capabilities for local suppliers, DMCs and hoteliers who want to take their hotel inventory further.

Suppliers remain focused on what makes their business valuable: local expertise, hotel relationships, contracting and product.

CoreX provides the technology and distribution infrastructure that comes next.
