Roibos is the complete solution for B2B Hotel Distribution that allows Travel Operators and Hotels to contract directly without intermediaries at a click of a button. This disruptive start-up with huge growth potential allows Travel Operators to access the most competitive rates without relying on intermediaries facilitating pier-to-pier communication with Hotels.

Tell us a bit about you, what you do and your company. Which elements do you consider key success factors in your business model?

I am a serial entrepreneur, passionate about travel and distribution, who has worked in the travel industry for over 20 years. I founded Roibos in 2019 as a highly disruptive and efficient technology company to revolutionize the B2B Intermediation Segment of the Travel Industry. Roibos is the platform that allows Travel Distributors to contract directly with thousands of hotels without intermediaries, which means that Travel Operators pay directly to Hotels and get the full commission.

What are some of the biggest challenges for your sector right now?
The biggest challenges are the extensive variety of technologies for hotels, with huge costs of integration and maintenance fees and lack of transparency in the B2B Hotel Distribution Sector. Roibos was born to eliminate the inefficiencies of hotel distribution and digitalize each component of the value chain. By reducing the number of intermediaries, simplifying processes, reducing contracting efforts, mapping and administrative costs, we make contracting between hotels and travel operators possible whilst still maximizing profits for both parties.

Why be a Sponsor of CON-X 2022? Why would you recommend this event to key influencers in the travel industry?

TravelgateX is a very important connectivity hub in the travel industry. Con-X promises to be a crucial networking meeting point that brings together the most relevant leaders and companies from around the globe in one location, Majorca. The thinking tanks of the sector will be exchanging ideas, discussing topics that concern our industry, as well as showing the future key trends and predictions for success.

What do you think are some of the biggest opportunities for the travel industry in 2022-2023?
Digitalization currently stands out as both one of the best opportunities and challenges, with outstanding long run possibilities. Thanks to this, the complex underworld of contracting in a global market is simplified, allowing for the objective of juggling different locations, languages, legislations possible at a fraction of the cost.

Looking ahead to the next year, what are your top two or three priorities for ADAPT. PIVOT. GROW?

We are a tech solution for the distribution segment, and we want more partners to experience and distribute their accommodation directly using Roibos. The current priority is to be more cost savvy, wiser in terms of distribution and be vigilante for new business opportunities. We provide all of that.
