TravelgateX and Expedia Group Partner Solutions have worked together for the past 3 years. Last year both companies further strengthened their ties when Expedia chose TravelgateX to be the launch platform partner for the release of their new API, EPS Rapid.
TravelgateX’s Jose Díaz, (Chief Commercial Officer) and Kieron Tweedie (Integrations Product Manager) joined Ian Knox (VP Products) and Fritz Oberhummer (Director Account Management Platforms) from Expedia Group Partner Solutions in this case study, which provided valuable insight on the whole integration process.
Jose and Kieron concluded that the experience of participating in the EPS Certified Partnership brought the following advantages:
As explained by Kieron Tweedie, “we were an early adopter of EPS Rapid API because we could see its benefits right from the start. From a client’s perspective, they are able to manage their credentials and the different forms of payments in a much more efficient way.
Requesting rates according to a specific source market is also going to be a lot simpler. Overall, clients will have a lot more control over what and how they are sending requests to the RapidAPI via our platform”.
Jose Díaz remarked that “working with EPS is all about taking a pioneering approach to technology and a partnership approach to service, and that really resonates with us. In business terms, we want to work and partner with the best. EPS are the best in the business. It gives us great confidence in the competitiveness and reliability of our own offering, which in turn means that we can serve our partners better”.
