- The global tourist connections company goes a step further in its global expansion and acquires the specialized operator to strengthen its position in the business intelligence sector.
- TravelgateX, which already handles one of the largest data of global connections in the B2B tourism industry, states that having on hand so much information about the market and customers will make it possible for companies to work methodically. By having more accurate statistics, it will be easier for them to make faster and better decisions, which in turn means better business.
The data analysis is what currently allows us to maximize the benefits for the travel industry. Artificial intelligence (AI) and data, which is increasingly being implemented in the tourism sector, is helping several companies to reach end customers better. There is no doubt, however, that in the years to come only companies who have adapted themselves to these latest advances will be able to survive in such a competitive global market.
In view of this situation, TravelgateX, has announced the acquisition of the Mallorca-based startup, REVVA, which specializes in revenue management and business intelligence for the tourism sector. As of November 1, Revva’s advanced BI platform will become part of the new TravelgateX product catalog, thus initiating the first connective ecosystem of the tourism industry.
REVVA founded in 2017 in Palma de Mallorca, will be in charge of analyzing the transactions of more than 3,000 online tourist connections, for more than 1 terabyte daily, while the technology created by TravelgateX, which already generates a turnover of 3.2 billion dollars per year, will be able to process a reservation every 8 seconds and move more than 1.5 billion searches per day.
“Revva fits perfectly into our product range. Business intelligence and revenue management is acquiring greater significance and importance on a daily basis, that is why from now on our customers will benefit from this essential tool, “says Pedro Brücher Camara, CEO of TravelgateX.
“The vast amount of data handled by TravelgateX offers a great opportunity for monetization, both internally and for the clientele. The merge between both companies will allow the creation of a cutting-edge product that will help our customers to sell and buy more optimally, predict trends, apply dynamic pricing, and have access to many more features. We thank Pedro for the trust”, explains Marcello Bresin, former CEO of Revva, new Product Manager of TravelgateX.
