After working in the hotel industry, at an airport, and an airline, it was a natural step for me to move to Amadeus, a technology company successfully serving the travel industry with reservation and operational systems in all verticals. In Amadeus, I worked for a long time in the airlines and distribution areas, in commercial and marketing roles. I got to know the exciting railway industry, completely different from the airline one. We helped railways improve how they sell their offering globally and make it as easy to purchase a train ticket as an airline ticket. 

What are the main challenges that your clients are facing at the moment?

The biggest challenge our customers are facing at the moment is understanding how they can safely and easily travel, especially as a family. The UK has removed all entry and exit rules and some other countries including Greece are also making holidays simple, but many are still asking for tests or vaccine certificates, which means families have to learn to navigate the restrictions. They’re turning to companies like Thomas Cook to help them, and our teams are working hard to give them the best possible advice.

Can you tell us how you became part of the SiteMinder team, and what projects you are currently working on?

Dr. Wouter Geerts Director of Research, Skift will participate as a speaker at the upcoming CON-X 2022 conference. Geerts, as a big data specialist, will talk about changes we have experienced in recent years, and some predictions ... although as he says, "he doesn't have the crystal ball", he will help to understand some perspectives through data. 

Tourism and sport will have something in common in Mallorca next Tuesday, May 31. And is that Toni Nadal, will be present at CON-X 2022, a global conference that will bring together the 250 TOP Leaders of tourism who will discuss the future of the tourism sector, innovation, challenges through travel data, the evolution of the sector after recent events, among other topics.
